Veritas is a resonant inelastic x-ray scattering (RIXS) beamline being built at the MAX IV facility in Lund, Sweden. As part of the beamline we are designing and building a high resolution soft x-ray spectrometer. The spectrometer is based on the Rowland design where a diffraction grating with radius R, the source and a detector are place on a circle of radius R/2.

2016-03-30In-vacuum Undulator for CoSAXS (Lunds universitet)
The new X-ray scattering CoSAXS beamline at the 3 GeV ring of MAX IV will be a multi-purpose instrument that aims to take full advantage of the unique properties of the source: its brilliance and its high degree of coherence. The CoSAXS undulator (IVU19), based on the in-vacuum-undulator design of the hybrid type, will serve as the light source of the CoSAXS beamline, enabling performing combined SAXS/WAXS experiments with high photon flux, small spot sizes and a very broad detection q-range.

The scope of this procurement includes construction, delivery and installation of radiation safety hutches for beamlines that will be installed on the 3 GeV ring at the MAX IV Laboratory. These beamlines will receive photons from insertion devices (undulators) as specified. During operation of MAX IV, these shielded hutches will provide radiation protection to users, whose main place of work will be in adjacent unshielded areas.
