The purpose of the contract is to cover Vattenfall’s needs for a group wide broker solution for IT consultants. The broker(s) will act as an important point of contact for time & material deliveries into Vattenfall.
The services shall include matchmaking, contract handling and accounting/administration. Vattenfall is looking for “clean broker business”: Only parties with no own consultants on their payroll can participate in this tender. To apply for the tender, the applicant needs to be able to deliver all kinds of IT consultants (i.e. SAP, ERP, infrastructure, architecture, data services, generics, and all kinds of skill levels) and have a good local network in the region they are applying for.
The contract will be divided into 3 geographical lots (Sweden, Germany and the Netherlands). Vattenfall intends to award a contract to 2 parties per lot. The ambition of Vattenfall is to appoint brokers that can handle more than one lot, but if it proves to be more advantages from a qualitative and pricing requirement, contracts may be awarded to brokers that can handle one lot only.
The total annual spend covered by the Matchmaker/Broker services is anticipated to be around 50-100 000 000 EUR (all lots combined). This spend is indicative and no committed volumes will apply. In addition to a matchmaker/broker, Vattenfall can also make use of a preferred supplier pool for sourcing its IT consultants.
A contract period of 3 years is planned. There will be 2 optional prolongation periods of 2 years each.
