Marine route survey for a HVDC link between the Swedish Mainland and the Island Gotland
Svenska Kraftnät is planning an interconnector between Gotland and the mainland which will make it possible with a large scale expansion of wind power on Gotland. In this respect a new HVDC link between the mainland and Gotland is planned to be in operation within some years.
A marine survey shall take place between the landfalls on respective side. The procurement procedure of the sea cable route survey will be performed by Svenska Kraftnät.
The purpose with the marine survey is to assist in planning of the sea cable route, provide input to various permits and environmental analyses and to provide data that will be used for design of the cable and the installation operation.
