Motivation for cancelling
After careful consideration, Linnaeus University has decided to cancel the procurement of CRM system. We decided to take this decision in favor of exploring the possibility of developing our own solution based on the software-portfolio already accessible at the university.
We deeply appreciate your offer and the effort put into it. We are also very thankful for the demo presentation and for the friendly, professional, and prompt reply to any questions we’ve had. We would also like to share our overall impressions of your offer;
1. We really liked that the system seems well-developed and cover many functionalities. The e-mail template function is excellent and helpful for creating professional-looking emails and it also seems easy to set and adapt a customer journey. The options on how to work with business contacts were also very appreciated.
2. Among our concerns is that the service, from our perspective, seems developed mainly for larger companies rather than education institutions. We therefore see the need for extensive adaptions and a long implementation process to set the user experience and work flows according to our expectations and the Swedish academic context (which differs extensively from many other countries). Related to that, the cost is another concern, as even the lower end of the offered price range would stretch our budget. Our evaluation so far is primarily based on the software, but there are also still uncertainties by Lnu related to GDPR, that the company is based outside the EU etc.
