Introduction

Stockholm Exergi AB (SE), is a provider of district heating, district cooling and electric power from a set of owned and operated plants and grid throughout the Stockholm metropolitan area. SE have taken an investment decision to invest in the lifetime extension of its largest combined heat and power plant (CHP) – KVV1 at – Värtaverket, in Stockholm.

Project Description

The project objective is to extend the lifetime of the CHP with 25 years, to convert the systems for combustion of bio-oil and to reduce current levels of emissions to air. Original capacities and performance data, such as district heating and electrical production shall be achieved.

Scope

• Certain preparatory work will be carried out during the summer / autumn of 2022, e.g. erection of a new switchgear for general power and lighting, supplementation with new ducting in the turbine hall, temporary electricity, etc.
