16 armoured vehicles. These vehicles shall increase the ability of the Swedish Police Authority to act in environments where the treat is higher due to the risk of firearms and explosives being used against the personnel. The vehicles shall have a profile that blends in with other vehicles used commonly on roads, meaning that the vehicles shall not reveal that they are armoured or are used by the Police at first sight. The vehicles shall be of SUV-type and have four wheel drive. The vehicles shall have integrated system such as blue light and communication systems. The protection level shall be adequate to protect the personnel against the threats that the Police can anticipate.
The required minimum levels of protection are:.
— the vehicle shall be equipped with a ballistic protection certified to at least VPAM BRV 2009 VR7,
— the vehicle shall have a blast protection certified to VPAM ERV 2010.
