This prequalification is for a turnkey contract that consists modernization and conversion of burners in four existing boilers, P11, P12, P13, P14, at Värtaverket, Stockholm.
The boilers shall be able to run on heavy oil (EO5), Bio oil (MFA) and Pitch oil (Boiler P14).
As general, the following applies:
— The delivery shall comply with the applicable regulations and policies. The necessary certificates, CE declarations and test certificate shall be included in the scope of delivery.
— Delivery terms NLM 10E with modifications by Fortum Heat Scandinavia.
Background, Steam automized
Boiler P11 and Boiler P12 are placed in heating plant 1 (Värmeverk 1) in Värtaverket, Stockholm. They are two EO5 fired hot water boilers from Götaverken built in 1969. The boilers are each equipped with 4 Babcock & Wilcox YEL(steam atomized) burners with a capacity at 3200kg/h per burner.
Boiler P13 and Boiler P14 are placed in heating plant 2 (Värmeverk 2) are two EO5 fired boile.

Boilers from Maskinverken built in 1972. Boiler P14 has been rebuilt to operate with Pitch Oil or EO5. Boiler P13 is equipped with 6 Hamworthy HPD (steam atomized) burners with capacity 2 840 kg/h per burner. Boiler P14 has 3 newer Hamworthy-LNO ( low-nox, steam atomized) with the capacity at 4 170 kg/h (for pitch oil) and 3 835 kg/h for EO5 per burner, and three Hamworthy HPD burners. The three LNO-burners and one HPD burner are rebuilt to be fired with Pitch Oil. The combustion air system is supplemented with a ROFA-system. Scope The turnkey contract includes: — For boiler P11 and P12 in Värmeverk 1 modernization and conversion of the burners and related systems to be able to run on Bio Oil (MFA) and EO5. The work will include the redevelopment of the burners or as alternative new burners, a new oil system with piping and a redundant oil skid that shall be able to supply both the boilers during full operation with EO5 or Bio Oil (MFA). Mechanical, electrical and Burner management system (BMS) installation. — For boiler P13 and P14 in Värmeverk 2 modernization and conversion of the burners and related systems to be able to run on Bio Oil (MFA), EO5. Boiler P14 shall also run on Pitch Oil. The work will include the redevelopment of the burners or as alternative new burners, a new oil system with piping and redundant oil skid that shall be able to supply both the boilers during full operation with EO5 or Bio Oil (MFA), for Pitch Oil the existing oil skid will be reused. The existing ROFA-system shall be included in the new BMS. Mechanical, electrical and Burner management system (BMS) installation. The BMS shall be tight integrated with the new DCS this work shall be included in the scope of the work. The work includes all the necessary equipment within the delivery boundaries to meet the functional and performance requirements of the upcoming request.
