Background
Boiler 6 at the Högdalen plant is a CFB-boiler (circulating fluidized bed) fired with industrial waste consisting of paper, plastics and wood. The boiler is a 91,2 MWth steam boiler, steam quality 59 bar(g), 480C. The project consists of dismantling the existing flue gas reheater including surrounding flue gas duct and replacing it with a new GFRP/GRP duct (approx. 4,7 m long) with a boundary layer corrosion resistant to the boiler’s flue gas.
The flue gas reheater is placed after flue gas condensation and before the flue gas fan. Operating temperatures are between 35-60C. Brief peaks with temperatures around 100C can occur during boiler start up.
Scope of delivery:
— Dismantling of the existing pipe in chimney including insulation and casing, see Appendix 15,
— Dismantling of adjacent steel duct including insulation and casing, see Appendix 15,
— Design, manufacturing and installation of a new duct GFRP/GRP replacing the bypass pipe and steel duct, see Appendix 5. The GFRP/GRP duct shall withstand the operating conditions and technical specifications stated in Chapter 7,
— The design shall contain calculations which show that the change in pressure drop from the new duct does not affect the flue gas fan negatively,
— Standard size manhole at appropriate position by existing platform,
— Hole for one temperature sensor approx. 2 m upstream from existing damper. The outlet shall be placed in the centre of the duct ceiling,
— Insulation and casing of the new duct,
— All cranes for lifting,
— All scaffoldings required for the Works,
— All work with beams, walls or roof that need to be dismantled, moved and reassembled during the installation,
— Quality control and inspections,
— BAS-U if required in accordance with AFS1999:3,
— Container for all waste and removal of all waste material including transports and fees. All insulation material shall be collected in Big bags (not over-filled) before removal from site,
— All necessary activities to accomplish th
