The laboratory of the Department of Solid Mechanics at the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) is equipped with servo hydraulic testing machines that are used in conjunction with digital controllers. These controllers were bought by the department in 1995 and have now reached an age past their expected lifetime. Therefore, in order to keep the equipment up to date, the department aims to invest in new controllers and awards the contract to a single supplier for total 10 (ten) controllers.

The department of Materials Technology intend to by a mechanical testing system for thermo-mechanical testing of metals. The testing system shall be complete and ready to run, including hydraulic power unit and controller.
The system shall comply with ´Validated Code-of-Practice for Strain-Controlled Thermo-Mechanical Fatigue Testing´ developed at Joint Research Centre, Petten (the Netherlands).
