Uppsala University, founded in 1477, is Scandinavia's oldest university. There are approximately
40 000 students and around 6 000 employees. Education and research is conducted within nine faculties: science and technology, theology, law, humanities, languages, social sciences, educational sciences, medicine and. pharmacy.

Uppsala University intends to procure a research funding database as a service.
