Karolinska Institutet, hereinafter called KI, invites companies, hereinafter called Tenderers, to submit tenders concerning a Metabolic platform (System).
The contract will be used by the Department of Medicine, endocrinology and metabolism, Karolinska Institutet (KI), Huddinge.

Scope of the procurement
One (1) Metabolic platform(System), as specified in this RFT.
Background to the procurement
Our research unit focuses on metabolism and utilizes murine models. An important readout in metabolic research is energy expenditure and macronutrient utilization. Therefore, we wish to purchase a metabolic platform for indirect calorimetry measurements, measurements of stable isotopes in the carbon dioxide, locomotor activity measurements, food intake measurements and body weight measurements. We also need the platform to be compatible with tests for mental and cognitive function for simultaneous measurements of metabolic features.
