The Swedish Armed Forces, SwAF, operates a managed satellite communication infrastructure system on leased transponder capacity for national and international operations. The system is used as a backbone network, supporting SwAF units in Theatre by providing access to the SwAF terrestrial network in Sweden.The satellite Hubs/Gateways in Sweden are currently equipped with fiber optic IFL between the satellite modems and the antenna RF equipment. The current solution is limited to approximately 4-6 km separation. In order to overcome the current separation limits the SwAF is hereby looking to acquire a technical solution for IFL extension over public IP based networks (Internet).The purpose of this procurement is to procure new IFL equipment based on IF over IP or L-band over IP running on public IP networks (Internet). The system in focus must be mature and already put on the market or in service. FMV is not investing in development of such equipment.
