Pre-commercial procurement of New Methods of Non-Destructive testing of joining of PE pipes (NDTPE)

The purpose of the project is to develop technologies for non-destructive testing to ensure the quality of the joining of PE pipes. The water utility sector faces major challenges as large portions of the drinking water grid must be renovated, while new installations of water mains are happening on a large scale in many cities. In order to meet this challenge, good methods for testing to ensure the right quality are required for joints of PE pipes.
