Measurement and Processing System (MAPS)
This procurement covers data loggers for automatic meteorological, hydrological and oceanographic observation stations. In total, about 350 observation stations are located all over the country. SMHI terms the procurement objects as Measurement and Processing System and Measurement and Processing Unit.
SMHIs hydrological and oceanographic observation network shall be modernized both regarding data loggers and sensors. At existing sites, the measurement technology shall be replaced, but there are also locations where new observation stations will be established. The hydrological and oceanographic sensors will be procured separately. Therefore, this procurement covers only the MAPSs.
MAPSs for 350-400 observation stations shall be purchased during the period 2015 to 2020.
