Framework agreement for FPL100, S100D and SAAB 340

FMV

The Swedish Defence Material Administration (FMV) is about to procure Technical Maintenance Training for FPL100, S100D and SAAB 340B.
The Swedish Armed Forces (SwAF) has been operating the FPL100 aircraft (civilian designation SAAB 340B) since the 90's. Today SwAF have a total of 4 FPL100 aircraft operating within the following two areas of use; personnel transport (Tp100) and airborne surveillance (S100D).
To be able to perform maintenance of the FPL100 aircraft, the need of continuous maintenance training exists.
Regarding the technical maintenance of aircraft, the Swedish Armed Forces is obligated to follow the Rules of Military Aviation (RML).
The Armed Forces Technical School (AFTS) is approved according to Swedish Rules of Military Aviation (RML) by the Swedish Military Aviation Authority (MAA) to provide technical training for all maintenance personnel within the Swedish Armed Forces.
Any training provider of technical maintenance training to the Swedish Armed Forces is obliged to follow the Rules of Military Aviation (RML) whilst performing type training on level B1, B2 and differences training.
The training provider shall for that reason have their own valid RML approval with FPL100 type training on level B1, B2 and differences training on S100D on its scope of approval.
RML approval of the training provider and the courses on the scope of approval will be performed by the Swedish Military Airworthiness Authority (MAA).
Any training provider of technical maintenance training on courses other than type training B1, B2 and differences training shall meet the demands equivalent to EASA Part 147 and EASA Part 66.
