Spinning disc microscope system
The main instrument is a functional inverted micro-lense enhanced spinning disk confocal microscope complete with laser(s), optics, computer and software and live cell incubation. The system should provide fast array scanning and high sensitivity detection for 4D experiments.
We are intending to purchase a microscope system for visualization of extremely rapid processes in cells and other complex systems. This system is aimed to complement our current confocal and super resolution microscopes and facilitate imaging and tracking of dynamic structures and interactions in live cell experiments. Acquiring images of localized fluorophores in living cells on the millisecond timescales, reveal intricate biological dynamics.
