Uppsala University will acquire one (1) Lightsheet/single plane illumination (SPIM) microscope. Under a lightsheet/SPIM microscope we understand a microscope that illuminates a sample using a laser based lightsheet and detects the emitted fluorescent signal with an objective perpendicular to the illumination axis. The lightsheet microscope is primarily intended for long-term live imaging of zebrafish and mouse embryos as well as for various ex-vivo and in vivo samples including organ cultures.
