Software and licence for back-office OCR

Transportstyrelsen is currently enhancing the capacity and improving the performance of its National Road charging back office with the intention to create a back office for all of Swedens Road pricing systems. Eventually this new Back Office will have to be capable of processing in excess of 2,5 M transactions per day consisting of in excess of 6 M images per day and a requirement that 98 % of the transactions are recognized at an 0,01 % error rate.
As part of this effort, a new ALPR (Automatic License Plate Recognition) engine will be procured that forms the heart of this processing system.
This procurement concerns the service of processing (vehicle) transactions based on images recorded by Road Side Equipment (RSE, outside of the scope of this procurement) including monitoring of the quality of submitted images including technical management and maintenance of the used processing software.
