Mass Spectrometer LC-MS/MS
We intend to purchase a state-of-the-art high resolution, high accuracy mass spectrometer LC-ESI-MS instrument. The instrument is to be used for discovery related projects in the field of proteomics and for identification of qualitative and quantitative differences in proteomic profiles. The main operation will be automated high throughput analysis of full proteome digests of high sample complexity demanding high sensitivity, high accuracy and high scan speed. The instrument will also be used for identification and analysis of proteins and posttranslational modifications for which different fragmentation methods, high accuracy, high resolution and possibility for polarity switching are important.
The instrument will be used for unattended analysis of long sample series making it essential that the instrument is reliable and with a minimum of variance in performance over time spans of days.
