Cryoprobe
The focus of our research is on in-vivo experiments with rodents (mice, rats) on a 9.4 T Bruker BioSpec 94/20 Biospec system. In order to achieve higher signal to noise (S/N) ratio we now want to purchase a radiofrequency (RF) probe for proton magnetic resonance imaging and spectroscopy, with cryogenically cooled coil and preamplifier stages. It is important that the offered equipment has the required user-friendliness and functionality in both software and hardware. Our main purpose is to use the equipment primarily on living mice, in particular brain, spine, heart and subcutaneous tumour tissue. Other uses might also be considered, depending on the applicability on other body parts and also on rats, provided that the overall gain in S/N ratio is appreciable.
