Global Custody Services
Sjunde AP-Fonden (AP7) is reviewing its arrangements for global custody and related services. Global custody will include settlement and safekeeping/custody of securities plus asset servicing and taxation support. The related services will include CLS-facilities, collateral management and may also include other services such as fund valuation, securities lending and support for private equity. AP7 is looking to appoint one global custodian to handle the custody and realted services through proprietary or subcustodian network.
As at the end of October, AP7's assets amounted to approximately 120 billion SEK . This figure is expected to grow to 300 billion SEK by 2025. AP7 manages 2 mutual funds, 1 global equity fund and 1 fixed income fund. The (small) Swedish fixed income fund is managed internally and the equity fund (~92 % of all assets) is predominantly externally managed. The global equity fund tracks the MSCI All Countries World Standard Index which includes 24 developed markets and 20 emerging markets.
AP7 is looking for an applicant that can offer the requested services with a high degree of straight through processing, high service quality, a great degree of flexibility/creativity in response to new solutions and a competitive pricing.
