Acoustic non-contact dispenser
The procurement concerns an acoustic non-contact, liquid dispensing instrument; an automated system capable for efficient transfer of very small volumes (nl) of liquids from micro plates to micro plates. The instrumentation should be able to do high-throughput fluid transfer to different plate formats, e.g., 96, 384 and 1536. Also to be used for serial dilution and cherry picking.
The intended use of the instrumentation will be in a high throughput screening environment using genome wide RNAi libraries and chemical libraries and but also to be used in transfer of protein-water solutions and in different genomic applications The equipment will be placed in the cell screening facility at the Science for Life Laboratory (SciLifeLab) in Solna, Sweden. SciLifeLab is a Swedish national resource centre dedicated to large-scale life science research with a focus on biomedicine, including genome and proteome profiling, microscopy methods (Bio imaging), and bioinformatics. SciLifeLab Stockholm has been formed through a joint effort between Stockholm University, the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) and the Karolinska Institute (KI) and is located in newly built premises at the Karolinska Institute campus.
