Monitoring vaccine effectiveness during seasonal and pandemic influenza in the EU/EEA
This procedure aims at:
a) conduct of studies to provide routine delivery of overall influenza vaccine effectiveness in different age-, target- and risk groups, by influenza virus subtype, during and at the end of the influenza season and by different study outcomes (e.g. ILI, ARI, GP-visits, ED-visits, hospitalisations or treatment in ICU due to laboratory-confirmed influenza);
b) development and piloting of study protocols for the investigation of product-specific vaccine effectiveness and vaccination programme-specific effectiveness.
