Intervening in the transmission of infectious diseases during times of economic austerity
The objective of the tender is to develop a mathematical infectious disease transmission model in order to simulate the impact of the current economic crisis with its austerity measures in Europe on infectious disease burden and evaluate the benefits of specific interventions. The model should accommodate disease-specific risk factors and model the public health implications from the economic downturn.
