Establishment of an expert laboratory network for early detection, surveillance and epidemic preparedness and support to emerging or re-emerging and vector-borne threats in Europe
ECDC wishes to conclude a framework contract with a network of European expert laboratories to provide diagnostic support for early detection, surveillance and epidemic preparedness to emerging, re-emerging and vector-borne infectious diseases that are not currently covered through network(s) of another ECDC European disease specific programme. The network will work in close coordination with the emerging and vector borne disease programme and the microbiology coordination section of ECDC. It will provide the laboratory support to the Member States for responding to emerging threats.
