Prevalence surveys of health care associated infections and antimicrobial use in European long-term care facilities
The aim is to continue the implementation and improving the quality of the repeated PPSs using the HALT protocol in order to provide countries and LTCFs with a standardised tool to follow up trends in HAI and antimicrobial use, to identify priorities for national and local intervention measures and evaluate their implementation, as well as to estimate and monitor the burden of HAI and antimicrobial use at the national and European level.
