Pilot validation study of the ECDC point prevalence survey of healthcare-associated infections and antimicrobial use in European acute care hospitals
The goal of the contract is to test the feasibility (including workload) and appropriateness of different validation and inter-rater agreement methods in countries performing the first national PPS in 2011, in view of identifying a standard methodology for validation and/or inter-rater agreement of data collected using the ECDC PPS protocol in the future, in particular for the assessment of healthcare-associated infections in PPS.
