Invasive mosquitoes — guidelines for implementing monitoring
Improve the collection of necessary information to develop appropriate and timely response related to invasive mosquitoes by providing Member States with a comprehensive and practical document to assist them to implement invasive mosquito surveillance. The document will also propose a cost-benefit evaluation of different monitoring procedures according to risk to ensure optimal support for response and improvement of preparedness to emerging mosquito-borne diseases. In the longer perspective it should ensure a comprehensive coverage within the EU countries and help to provide comparable and timely information about invasive mosquitoes of public health importance.
