Development of 2 pilot courses on laboratory diagnosis — strengthening diagnostic capacity for early detection of emerging and re-emerging diseases in Europe
The overall aim of the tender is to develop a pilot course for enhancing the laboratory capacity of the EU Member States in the diagnosis of dengue and West Nile viruses.
The specific objectives are to:
— ensure a high quality of laboratory diagnosis and characterisation for dengue/West Nile virus infections,
— strengthen early detection of dengue/West Nile viruses,
— strengthen investigation of dengue/West Nile virus outbreaks.
ECDC wishes to conclude a contract for the delivery of 2 work packages:
WP 1: curriculum, training material and pilot course on laboratory diagnosis of dengue virus infections;
WP 2: curriculum, training material and pilot course on laboratory diagnosis of West Nile virus infections.
